Edwards father Alexander was christened on 15 May 1854 in St. Michael and All Angels, C Of E, Enborne, Berkshire, England. He was the fourth son of nine children to Thomas Clark and Ann Walch. Alexander married Elizabeth Mary Wigmore daughter of Richard Wigmore and Elizabeth on 20 January 1877 at the Register's Office, Yeomanry House, Reading, Berkshire, England. Elizabeth was born on 2 November 1856 in Reading, Berkshire, England. She died on 5 Jun 1945 in Glendevie and was buried at Surges Bay, Tasmania, Australia.
Alexander's family immigrated as assisted immigrants on the SS "Nurjahan" which sailed on 28th November 1884 from London and arrived in Hobart on the 19 January 1885. Upon arrival he was assigned to HB Evans' sawmill at Surges Bay and acquired land for a farm while working for the road trust. Elizabeth had another six children in Tasmania bringing the total to ten.
Alexander was elected in 1907 to represented Surges Bay in the first Esperance Municipal Council. He died on the 19th May 1918 at Snake Plains, and is buried at Surges Bay.

She died on 11 Nov 1899 in Crockham Heath near, Enborne, Newbury, West Berkshire, England.
James CLARK was born about 1784 in St. Michael and All Angels, C Of E, Enborne, Berkshire, England. He was buried on 14 Mar 1853 in St. Michael and All Angels, C Of E, Enborne, Berkshire, England. James married Sarah MUNDAY on 7 Dec 1801 in St. Michael and All Angels, C Of E, Enborne, Berkshire, England. Sarah was born about 1785 in Faringdon, Berkshire, England .
